Every year, Pantone releases colors that they predict will be “hot” for the upcoming seasons. And when it comes to this spring, one of the ones on the very top of their trend list is Limpet Shell.
Yeah, don’t feel bad if you have absolutely no idea what that color is supposed to represent. To make it simple, it’s basically mint green and what we like so much about it is not only is it a bright and cheery color, but there are a myriad of different ways to wear it too.
1. White lace top and limpet shell knee-length skirt

And once you do, then go on a search for a limpet shell skirt (too cute, too cute!). Avoid going with white or limpet shell shoes, though. Look for another sorbet shade like Creamsicle (which is what we think about when we look at those orange sandals). Then head out to get yourself a literal popsicle with your girls.

Outfit ideas for spring: Before we saw this outfit, if someone had tried to convince us that limpet shell and gold (colored clothing) would look good together, we definitely wouldn’t have believed them. But yeah, we’re pretty convinced now. They key is not to overdo it. For instance, if you’re going to wear a gold tank top, don’t put on a matching gold blazer. You’d be better off with a neutral color instead.
6. Limpet shell wrap linen dress and bone accessories
Wedding exquisite. That’s the best way to describe this outfit. And who would’ve thought that limpet shell would be so pretty in a linen fabric. And bone? Yeah, accenting this dress with a bone-colored belt…well, just make sure that you don’t upstage the bride with a look like this!

If you’re a teacher and you like your jean skirt, here’s one way that your school’s dress code might give you a pass. Match it up with a silk shirt, maybe one that is limpet shell color. The silk material will have you on-trend and silk oftentimes goes really well with silk.
