If you’re currently in a relationship and you would basically describe your feelings as being head over heels, then there’s a pretty good chance that you think your guy is the one for you. But before you take a leap of faith and tell him, wouldn’t it be awesome if you already knew that he felt the same way?

1. He’s attentive
When a man is attentive, he’s paying close attention to you as well as your needs. When you’re upset, he sees it in your eyes. When you’re scared, he’s got words to comfort you. When something’s on your mind, he’s the first to say “You need to talk? What’s going on?” Indeed, one of the sexiest things about a man is if he’s attentive.
2. He’s intentional
This is actually a save-the-date for a wedding. What we like about this picture though is it speaks to intentions across the board. When a man is into you, he’s not dating you without a reason or purpose. He wants to be with you because he sees a future there. Which means, on some level, he’s making plans.
3. He’s “public” with you
When a guy thinks that you’re the one, there’s nothing to hide. His family knows about you. His friends know about you. And he’s always looking forward to taking you out and showing you off. No matter who sees the two of you together (even an ex).
4. He makes time for you
Life can be super-demanding. But when you’re with someone who sees you as being super special, that doesn’t matter. It’s not about whether or not he has time. He’s going to make time regardless.
5. He expresses how he feels
If you’re with a guy who doesn’t tell you how he feels, a flag should go off in your head. Although expressing feelings is a vulnerable thing to do, a guy who’s really digging you won’t be able to contain himself. Sharing his emotions will be a given.
6. He makes you feel special
You can go on YouTube to see the lengths that men in love will go during a wedding proposal. And what those videos prove is that when a man thinks a woman is special, he’ll go to the ends of the earth just to show it.
7. He brings you around his family and friends
Wanna know if a guy is trying to build a future with you? If you’ve met the closest people to him, that’s one of the most telling signs of all.
8. His female friends know all about you
Speaking of friends, if your guy has a best female friend, he’s going to want the two of you to at least become really cool with one another. To make that happen, he will set up a time for y’all to talk and possibly even hang out. That way, boundaries can be established and everyone can be comfortable with one another.
9. He doesn’t play games
Game players are players, period. We’re not really sure if more needs to be said about this point. All we’ll add is, if you feel like he’s not taking you or the relationships seriously or he’s manipulating you or not being forthcoming with information, that means he’s not ready to be “the one” for you. You deserve better. Please move on.
10. He’s open and honest
This is basically a piggyback off of the point we just made. When a man feels he has met the one for him, his life is pretty much an open book. Honesty comes easily for him.
11. He’s proactive
If you’re the one for the guy you’re seeing, you won’t have to remind him of your birthday, y’all’s anniversary or what your favorite flowers are. He’s going to remember these things on his own. He’s going to basically be one step ahead of you (also a super sexy trait!).
12. He’s sensitive about your needs
The right guy for you is going to care about your feelings. It will bother him when you’re hurting. He’ll be by your side, looking for ways to help in any possible way that he can.
13. He wants to be exclusive
A guy who is seeing you and other people may someday get to the point of feeling like you’re the only one for him. But a guy who knows it right now is going to want to be exclusive. No other woman really phases him and he doesn’t want any other guy to get a chance to steal you away.
14. He’s not “single” on social media
Does his Facebook status say “in a relationship”? If so, that’s saying a lot. Men tend to be more private when it comes to matters of the heart, so a public declaration is pretty big.
15. He talks about his future (and includes you in it)
Is he thinking about transferring to another school or taking a job in another city? If you’re the one for him, he’s going to ask you how you feel. Not only that but he’s going to factor in your feelings and opinions when it comes to making his decision. Because having you will be just as important as what possibilities lie ahead.
16. He tells you that you are
Most men are not going to be flippant or casual about telling a woman she’s the one. So, if your man says it, take it that he means it. We’re willing to bet some pretty good money that he does!
